The cases of the COVID-19 infection keep rising in the country as with the recoveries. The cases in the country previously recorded at 2,169 has soar higher with additional 550 cases bringing the total to 2,719.
This was made known by the Ghana Health Service on Monday, 4th May, 2020. According to the reports, the number of recoveries has also risen to 294 as against 229 previously. Per the reports, the number of deaths from the virus still stands at 18.
Again, the report also said the Greater Accra Region still has the highest case count with 2,332 cases. This is followed by the Ashanti Region with 124 cases. The Eastern Region follows with 94 cases while the Central Region has 38 cases. The Volta Region follows suit with 30 cases while the Oti Region has 23 cases. The Western Region has 21 cases while the Upper East and West Regions have 19 cases each and the Northern Region with 13 cases. The Western North Region has 4 cases while the North East Region has 2 cases.
